Connected is built around verified, peer-validated credibility rather than network size or activity volume. Your reputation is computed from publications, verified skill endorsements weighted by domain expertise, and content signal — not from connections or post frequency. Identity verification is required for every account. Your data lives in Europe. And the feed ranks quality, not engagement.
During the current beta period, Connected is completely free for all verified professionals. After public launch, the core network — profile, feed, connections, skill endorsements — will remain free. Premium features (advanced analytics, recruiter tools, enhanced visibility) will be available on a paid basis.
Your Authority Score is a transparent 0–100 value computed from seven components: identity verification (+15), peer-reviewed publications (+25), weighted skill endorsements (+20), skills with proof links (+10), content signal score (+8), network credibility (+12), and follower count on a logarithmic scale (+10). Every weight is published. The score updates in real time whenever any input changes.
All Connected data is hosted on infrastructure located in Frankfurt, Germany. No data is transferred to third countries. You can export a complete copy of your data at any time, and permanently delete your account and all associated data under GDPR Article 17. These are built into the architecture, not just policy commitments.
Every account requires identity verification before access to core features. Direct messages to non-connections are rate-limited. AI moderation evaluates every post before feed distribution. The scoring mechanics make low-quality participation structurally unrewarding — an account with zero expertise endorsements contributes no signal and receives no visibility.
Yes. Account deletion is available in Settings at any time. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently purged within 30 days — in compliance with GDPR Article 17. Anonymized aggregate data (with no link to your identity) may be retained for platform improvement. You receive email confirmation when deletion is complete.
